Training
services - Methodologies
Training
Services draws upon considerable experience and skills to fulfil
an assignment. The initial stage often requires a detailed analysis
of the prevailing client's situation, whether an operating plant
or a plant under construction. In the first case, it will be necessary
to examine the established organisation and manning, management
systems, operating procedures and practices. In the second case,
it will involve an assessment of the plant and the proposed method
of operation, determination of the skills required for its safe
and successful operation and the availability of labour with those
skills or the facilities to develop those skills. This can be achieved
preferably through a diagnostic study and, occasionally, by the
use of questionnaires and exchanges of information. The aim is to
agree the diagnosis from which the training solutions can be determined.
Training
Services is also able to carry out bench-marking of the operating
performance and through the use of key performance indicators and
operating parameters develop a plan to achieve selected and agreed
milestones through changes to operation and working methods, in
particular the introduction of standard procedures and practices.
Training
Services are able to carry out all the key activities involved in
a training solution and include:
